@krotoflik Thanks.
For the power a marine deep cycle batterie my work to power lights.
Sony HDR-Fx7, Nikon D5100, or Canon 7D? Any one help?
i want to see some more short films! good video though!
In my opinion it is the canon 600d but it is not that ship.
canon hfr10, It has full manual control, Mic input, and only costs around 200-300 bucks
I went a little above my intended budget, and spent $400 on a refurbished Canon Xixia M40 from eBay (linked). Haven’t received it yet, but everything I’ve seen from it looks like it’ll be great for what I want to do with it. I’ll want to upgrade to a better camera in the future, but this should hopefully do for now.
I’ve actually just finished up the $5 camera stabilizer, and it looks great. About to add my hockey tape and grips to it to top it off. Thanks for your vids!
I just need to get this out. This is seriously the most helpful ‘filming how-to’ video series i have subscribed to on YouTube. The amount of links and tips is just, wow. thanks!
hey guys I’m making a short action film with fake guns and fake cigarets and stuff do I need to make a disclaimer on my vid will I get it trouble by law or youtube????
thanks!
Bought and put together a PVC stabilizer this weekend. They had the plugs at my local Lowes. Made sure to grab like 15 of them. Good luck finding them everybody.
The Xactis are getting hard to find. Panasonic bought Sanyo, and has recently made a pistol grip model under the Panasonic HXDC1 and HXDC10. The DC1 can be found for around 200 bucks. They are great cameras. You might also go with a Canon HS300 point and shoot. It shoots 1080p video with a 5x zoom, and it is about the size of a deck of cards.
the GoPro it is a sports camera but works great for everything
Sony DCR-sx45 200$
thumbs up if you tabbed to netflix when you heard he was is 127 hours
also, maybe you should sell 1/2 inch pvc plugs and other doo dads on a frugal amazon/ebay store
@Gortess to find out it wasnt there… send off lol
@arecill sorry to mislead. Its here in Canada. where are you?
@Gortess lol I didn’t have to. I tweeted him about it a while ago when I first saw the movie! lol
your shows are so very helpful. I have yet to build anything, but have used clamp lights. I find it tough to look good under them though. So I purchased a really cheap soft box kit. My camera is the Kodak Zi8 (picked up for $150). Definitely needs good lighting.
Thank you. The most awesome links are much appreciated!
U can also add some glue or all purpose cement to the threads of the screw once the nut is in place so that it does not back off on the dolly wheels
Nice!
Nice!
The Kodak Zi8 is an OK “cheap” camera if it’s going to be locked off in good light. Any movement and it starts to look ugly. I use it as my Camera B if there is a possibility of the camera getting destroyed. I also just picked up a Sony HX9V. Retail is well out of your set price range, but you can find them on eBay for $200-300. That may be out of the poster’s price range, but it does 1080 at 60p, steadicam like stabilization and 16x zoom. It is now my “always with me” camera.
wow, i’m trampathon.
