I was wondering what the difference was? I am looking for a basic camera, but better than a point and shoot. My main criteria was that I want something that will take pictures fast, (to capture moving pictures). I don’t really know the difference in between the two, so I am not sure if its worth spending more on a DSLR if I just need something entry level.

How is the video quality on the canon 7d compared to a top consumer camcorder like the VIXIA HF G10. Is it worth it to get the 7d or a top camcorder and a entry level dslr.

ok so..i bought my first entry level dslr.thinking of the future..if i buy EF-S lenses it will not be compatible with Full-frame Canon slr soon when i upgrade..but if i buy an EF Lens it wont be compatible with my camera now..
are the EF Lenses compatible with AP-C sized sensors?
