why so much hate towards the D5000? i mean there is always a camrea a little nicer then the one you have, thats just how it works. and i get the differences between the D90 and the D5000…. is the D5000 really just an awful camera like ive seen in some reviews or do you think its worth the money for an entry level photographer?
what if you cant afford the D90? is this really a good alternative if you dont care that the screen isn’t as big or that its 230 instead of 900 something….

I’m looking for an entry level DSLR camera, price around 500-600 (with lens). I’m somewhat interested on the canon’s EOS Rebel XSi but it’s a little bit of the price. Any suggestion as to which camera I should get is greatly appreciated. Oh. I own a Canon S5 right now.

I’m battling over this. I’ve heard many good things about the Olympus PEN e-p1. There are some pretty good deals online at the moment. I’m looking at the zoom kit plus the compact flash (approx. US0 total).

Should I go for that or just settle with a (getting boring looking and heavy) dSLR from Nikon (my preferred brand)? I’m talking about those entry-level ones; D60, D3000, D5000… leaning dangerously close to the D90.

I want to buy an entry level Nikon DSLR camera. I have researched a lot about D40/D60/D80/D90. I liked the D40 most; however, I heard that Nikon is going to announce an entry level camera in PMA 2009. What should I do now? Sould I wait? or I can choose either D40 or D60. My budget is at most 0.

Please give me your suggestions. I really became confused now.
